Nothing beats a hug from a good friend. This is Linden, Emma's beautiful friend from North Carolina, at their reunion in Ottawa. More holiday photos to follow this week. Happy New Year!

Sorry for keeping our devoted, but too-often commentless, readers waiting for our next report but things have been a little hectic around here. We seemed to have finished some work projects and for the first time since the babies were born, the computers stayed off the whole weekend. Anyway, a few weeks ago, we took a trip to Ottawa to see cousins and meet old friends. Lisa is a Professor at Duke University and mother to Linden and Jemma. Linden and Emma met when Emma was just 6 months old and Linden was about 15 mo. Emma was very pleased to see her again. We also got to meet baby Chloe. Chloe's mom Janet is another old friend. She happens to be Lisa's sister. If you check out her blog, you can see some more pics, including a handsome pic of our boy. Here is the meeting in Chloe's back yard. Anyone who is doing the math will realize that that is six kids under 2.5 in one backyard. Note that Auntie Zeddy did not come to Ottawa such that, once again, the two three girl families just missed each other.

Howard the dog paid Olive a visit on a beautiful fall day this past week. After a glorious romp in the back yard, Olive spent the next 24hrs in a deep slumber.

Today, Emma officially welcome her sibs by saying (after much prodding) 'Lizzie' and 'William'. She offered some kisses and a little poke. She appears to have forgiven her mother. She also made progress on the phone today by actually saying hi and bye to Auntie Zeddy.
Last Sunday, lots of people came to see the three babes. Starting with Leslie, John & the girls. One day, I'll post pics from our very first visitors at home.

Last weekend of summer & mom's 40th birthday party (yikes). The weather cooperated and we had a beautiful afternoon on the dock. We missed a few friends who couldn't make it but hope to see them next time.
Here is Emma with Hilary.
